Finding Peace in Challenging Times In a world filled with uncertainty—ranging from a global pandemic to economic challenges—finding peace can feel like an impossible task.  This post explores how inner peace can be a conscious choice that's accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances and beliefs.  You Can Have Peace? I've just made a new (impromptu) music video for my YouTube channel, but I won't be uploading it yet. My new music video is titled You Can Have Peace . It's a pre-recorded piece that I plan to upload to my YouTube channel next week.  Good Dose of Peace  In the current global situations, with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic  and recession that has resulted from the pandemic, we really need a good dose of peace.  We Can Cultivate Peace We can have peace regardless of our religious beliefs. We can have peace regardless of our situations. We can have inner peace that is invaluable if we learn to cultivate it. It's a matter of choice. E...

Make Music without Reading Music?

Introduction Did you know that you can create beautiful music without ever learning to read music scores? Many talented musicians have proven that passion and creativity can outweigh formal training.  Wu Tsing-fong (吴清峰) A  Yes933  DJ shared an inspiring story about Taiwanese singer-songwriter Wu Tsing-fong (吴清峰). Despite not being able to read music, Wu has composed captivating songs for himself and other artists. This revelation challenges the notion that musical talent is solely reserved for those who can read and write music. Conclusion   So, if you've ever doubted your ability to compose music because you lack formal training, remember Wu Tsing-fong's journey.  Music is about expression, creativity and connection, not just technical skills. Let your passion guide you—who knows what beautiful melodies you might create! Cheers, Annie Chan P/s: Subscribe to my YouTube channel here:  Annie's Music . https://linktree.com/anniechan123

We are Happy Children

Introduction   I’m thrilled to share my latest music video on YouTube titled " We are Happy Children ." This song, which I composed over 10 years ago, embodies my belief that children should enjoy happy and carefree lives. How the Song Came About The song (music plus lyrics) was composed when I was doing relief teaching at a primary school.  It was done pretty quickly without much thought, as I was told that I'd to cover a music teacher's lesson on the day of the lesson and I'd classes prior to that.   Even though I wasn't expected to teach the kids music, I decided to go ahead with my plan since the supervisor didn't say "no." Click on the following link   to watch this new music video:  We are Happy Children Enjoy!:) Conclusion   Thank  you  for  joining  me  on this  musical journey!    I  hope   " We are Happy Children " brings  a  smile  to  your  face.  Cheers, A...

The Power of Music

Introduction Have you ever noticed how certain songs can instantly lift your spirits while others seem to weigh you down? Music is a powerful force that can profoundly affect our emotions and overall moods.  In this post, we’ll explore the impact of different music genres on our emotions and how to harness their power for a more positive experience. Music Has the Power to Affect Your Mood If you're already feeling moody, try not to listen to sad music because it might make you feel even worse. Instead, you might want to try listening to soothing music that has a calming effect on you.  Oppressive Nature of Heavy Metal Music Heavy metal music, to me, has an oppressive feel to it. That's why I never like such music. But then again, it could be just me.  Personally, I won't recommend it to anyone who's already feeling oppressed, because listening to such music might make you feel even more oppressed. Ballads Have a Soothing Element Ballads can calm me down easily, and that...

Music That Heals?

Introduction Have you ever hesitated to start something because you felt it wasn’t perfect? I recently uploaded three impromptu pieces of music on YouTube, embracing the idea that taking imperfect actions is essential for growth. Inspired by Jenna Kutcher’s insights, I realised that waiting for perfection can hold us back from starting our creative journeys.  In this post, I’ll share my experience of transformation from an imperfect musician to a better one through the power of action. Taking Imperfect Actions I've uploaded three short and impromptu pieces of music, which I've played, on YouTube. They're imperfect pieces, obviously. But like what a speaker on a Mastermind webinar,  Jenna Kutcher   had mentioned, it's ok to take imperfect actions, because if you don't start taking imperfect actions now, you'll never get started. She certainly had a point. Because if I don't start making music videos on YouTube now and if I've waited until I've perfect...
