Moving On

Image
Introduction Moving on from deep traumas can feel like an insurmountable challenge. As  Joel Osteen  wisely states, the first step is making a conscious decision to move forward. ( quotefancy.com ) This blog post explores practical strategies for letting go of past pain, setting boundaries and prioritising your emotional and physical wellbeing. How to Move On? How do you move on after having experienced deep traumas? Maybe like what Joel Osteen has said, you have to make a decision that you're going to move on. That could be a good starting point.  Going over in your mind, again and again, whatever people have done that has caused the deep traumas won't help you to move on.  On the contrary, it might keep you stuck in your past. Moreover, the people who've done you wrong might not even be sorry.  So why torment yourself by holding on? Let go and move on instead for the sake of your own emotional and mental wellbeing . And let go for the sake of your physical hea...

Take Off

Introduction   Creating music flows naturally for me, but naming each piece can be a challenge. Sometimes, I even turn to prayer for inspiration.  This time, as I worked on a title, an image of an airplane taking off came to mind. This wasn't just a title; it was also an invitation to let our dreams take flight, even when life gets turbulent. Here’s how I've found inspiration in the most unexpected way. Let Your Dreams Take Flight My deeply-buried dreams are now beginning to come alive. I could see them taking flight. Slowly but surely they're taking flight. It has been a long and battle-weary journey filled with numerous downs and very few ups. But things are finally looking a little brighter - possibly because of my mindset change - and I could see hope as my dreams are gradually taking shape. If you've dreams that you've yet to fulfill, you could still make them a reality. Just believe in yourself and your dreams, and allow your dreams to take flight. The power t...

Feeling Blue?

Image
Introduction   We all experience moments when we feel blue and it's perfectly normal to have those days. Whether it's due to personal struggles or the weight of the world around us, acknowledging our emotions is the first step toward healing.  In this blog post, we'll explore the reasons behind feeling blue, the importance of recognising when it may be linked to depression and how music can serve as a powerful tool for emotional recovery. Are You Feeling Blue? Are you feeling blue like me? If you are and if you don't mind listening to sad music, you might want to check out my latest music video on YouTube titled " Feeling Blue ". Or you might want to watch " Chase Away the Blues " by Timmy Abell, whose music doesn't sound as blue. Being Emotional Being someone emotional, I get affected not just by what happens to me but also by what happens to other people. Because of all the latest happenings in the US and all the injustices, I've been fee...

Faraway

The Journey Behind Faraway Creating music often feels like capturing fleeting moments of inspiration and  Faraway  embodies that. Recorded impromptu on my digital piano on December 2, 2020, this piece shows my passion for music and the ongoing challenges of perfecting the process.  From battling background noise to experimenting with editing tools like Mauvio, this post unveils the behind-the-scenes efforts of bringing this music video to life.  Dive in to discover the story, the challenges and the joy of sharing this creation with you. A Dreamy Piece of Music It's a dreamy piece of music that I quite like. But being a perfectionist, I know it's far from being perfect. If you're planning to check out my latest music video, please bear with my imperfect music (as well as the background noise that's still an issue).  What's an Equalizer (EQ)? The app, Mauvio by  Accusonus  is not exactly good in terms of editing out the background noise, because it's app...

Beautiful Day

Crafting Music Beyond Instrumentals Creating instrumental music videos is an art in itself, but it often comes with unique challenges. From considering the addition of vocals to navigating the nuances of recording in less-than-ideal environments, each step requires creativity and problem-solving.  In this blog post, we'll explore these aspects, and dive into the process of composing Beautiful Day   and the trials faced along the way. Music Video This latest music video, titled Beautiful Day , only has instrumental music, just like all my music videos so far. I'm thinking of adding vocals to my music but I've yet to learn how to do so. And the other thing is, I play impromptu music (for my YouTube music videos), and so to add vocals to such music will be challenging unless I play the music first and then add lyrics for vocals thereafter.  However, that will probably give rise to another issue, and that is, I'd probably have to 'force' lyrics into the music that m...
