Are You Feeling Moody?

Overcoming the Blues

We all have those days when we feel down or moody. How we handle those moments makes all the difference. From enjoying the healing power of nature to indulging in a good laugh, there are practical ways to lift your spirits.

In this post, I’ll share my go-to mood boosters and introduce you to my latest music video,  In a Happy Mood.

Moody?

Whenever I'm feeling moody, I prefer retail therapy.:) But there are times when budget is tight and when that happens, I'd prefer to take long bus rides as doing so somehow works in lifting up my spirit. What about you?

Things That You Could Do When You're Feeling Moody

1. Watch Comedies.

When you watch comedies, it will most likely make you laugh. And according to mayoclinic.org, laughter could help improve your mood.

2. Be in Nature

Being in nature and absorbing the beauty of nature could help a person forget (albeit temporarily) the things that make them moody.

Nature has a unique way of lifting one's mood. According to apa.org, exposure to nature has been linked to a host of benefits, including better mood. So the next time when you feel moody, you might want to try 'nature therapy'.

3. Take a Short Nap

According to theconversation.com, taking a short nap not only could help reduce sleepiness and boost a person's memory, it could also help them improve their mood. I can vouch for that because I've tried it and it works.

4. Regular Exercises

It's been long known that regular exercises could help boost one's overall mood, and this is supported by an article on helpguide.org. And so for those of us who don't like to exercise, maybe it's time to incorporate this into our daily or weekly routines.

New Music Video.

I've uploaded my latest music video titled In a Happy Mood

I was in a chirpy good mood when I created the music more than a week ago but I didn't quite like it. So this is an improved version, at least in my opinion.

A Mood Makeover Awaits You

Feeling moody doesn’t have to be a permanent state. Whether it’s laughter, exercise or a peaceful nap, small changes can have a big impact on your mood.

Don’t forget to check out my music video, In a Happy Mood, for an instant dose of cheer. Let’s brighten your day together!

Cheers,

Annie Chan
