Effects of Noise Pollution

Image
Definition of Noise Pollution According to Wikipedia , noise pollution is defined as "the propagation of noise with ranging impacts on the activity of human or animal life, most of them harmful to a degree". For me, I'd define it as noise that is beyond a comfortable range that makes it intolerable to the ears of humans. Having said that, however, it might be good to note that each person's threshold for noise is unlikely to be the same. Furthermore, the amount of noise that a person could tolerate might change, depending on different factors. For instance, if he's preparing or sitting for an exam, any noise could distract him and therefore, become intolerable to him. Could Music Be a Source of Noise Pollution? I came across an article on voanews.com that says that unwanted music is noise pollution to some people. I'll have to agree on that despite the fact that I'm a music lover, because we can't deny the fact that there are people who just don't

Be Merry

Christmas is Here! Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it. :) Christmas is a joyous occasion, and so my wish for you is that you'd have an abundance of joy.  Be Merry "Be Merry" is a piece of impromptu music that I created on 23 Dec 2020 because it's Christmas and it's a festive season. So, please check it out here: Be Merry .:)  A Cheerful Heart is Good Medicine As the saying goes, a cheerful heart is good medicine. So, stay cheerful and thereby stay healthy. According to Mayo Clinic , which is a credible authority (in my view) on health-related information, laughter is good for us. Laughing is a good way to relieve stress. Laughing is not only beneficial to us in the short term, we could also reap long-term benefits from laughing. If we laugh often, I believe that our immune systems will improve and we'll enjoy better relationships with the people around us as well.  Laughing Therapy? Some years ago, I watched the news on TV and there was this piec

Healing at the Speed of Sound

Music Could Heal After reading a book titled " The Mozart Effect ", I've always believed that music has the power to heal. However, I believe that only certain types of music could heal, for example, healing music that could bring out deeply-buried emotions, because such music (to me) could provide a cathartic outlet.  And Music Could Also Oppress On the other hand, from my perspective, heavy metal music sounds oppressive and therefore, isn't suitable for people who are dealing with addictions. And by extension, it isn't suitable (in my opinion) for those who are in any kind of bondage as well.  Healing at the Speed of Sound I'm currently this book, Healing at the Speed of Sound  by Don Campbell and Alex Doman. Don shares about the effects of sound (including music) on our lives and our overall wellbeing (that is, according to my understanding of the book.) Music for Business? Don was saying something to the effect that music could influence businesses as well

Happy Music

Christmas is Near! My latest music video titled ' Happy Music ' is out! I created this piece of happy music because Christmas is around the corner. Please check it out and if you like the music, please subscribe to my YouTube channel here: Annie's Music Everywhere . What is Christmas to You? People all over the world celebrate Christmas, regardless of their religious beliefs. If you're one of those people who celebrate Christmas, what is Christmas to you? Does Christmas mean something special to you? Or is it just another day to you?  For me, I used to dread Christmas because nothing good had ever happened on this day for many years.  It had always been a day of sorrow or sadness for me, as far as I could remember. But I believe with all my heart that it's going to be different this year. I really believe so. And I believe that henceforth, Christmas will always be a happy occasion for me. What will You be Doing This Christmas? For me, I used to celebrate Christmas w
