This post dives into the intricacies of songwriting, comparing the creation of Christian versus secular songs and Chinese versus English lyrics. Whether you're a music enthusiast or a budding songwriter, there's something here for you.

Music Composition versus Lyrics Writing

Over the years, I've composed many songs. The music part is easier for me, whereas writing lyrics is something that is still a little challenging for me. 

I could write poems pretty easily. But when it comes to writing lyrics, it just doesn't flow as easily. 

Christian Songs versus Secular Pop Songs

I've written both Christian songs and secular pop songs. Which is easier? Well, it seems easier for me to write the lyrics for Christian songs as compared to secular pop songs. But where music is concerned, I don't see any difference. 

Chinese Lyrics versus English Lyrics 

Personally, I prefer Chinese songs, probably because of the environment where I grew up in. And it's easier for me to write lyrics in Chinese rather than in English. 

I find that Chinese is a beautiful language that can captivate one's imagination. But I don't feel the same way about English, although I prefer English to Chinese when it comes to writing in general.

Overall, I find that Chinese lyrics give one a lyrical feel but I don't feel the same about English lyrics.

And it's usually accompanied by physiological changes such as increased heart rate, as well as behavioural changes such as avoidance of fear-producing objects or situations. Introduction I've been a victim of bullying since young. And I think I've acquired what's known as 'learned helplessness' from many years of being bullied, which was probably why I used to think that I was powerless to change anything in my life no matter how much I hated what was happening!
