Violation of My Copyright!

Understanding Copyright Violation

In the digital age, protecting your creative work is more crucial than ever. As a music creator, I recently faced a troubling situation when I received a notification from Google regarding a copyright claim on my latest music video, Relaxing Music.

Despite being the rightful owner, I found myself in a perplexing predicament that raised questions about the security of my content and the potential for unauthorised access.

In this post, I'll share my experience and I hope that it serves as a reminder to creators to stay vigilant.

Someone Has Violated My Copyrighted Content!

I uploaded my latest music video (Relaxing Somewhere) to YouTube two days after I'd created it. And yesterday, the Google support team sent me an email, stating something to the effect that I need to get a certificate for copyrighted content.

Why should I get a certificate when I'm the copyright owner??!! So obviously someone must have uploaded my latest music and/or my latest music video on one or more platforms before I uploaded it to YouTube! Or someone must have lodged a complaint to Google, claiming that I've violated their copyright!

But who could have gained access to my music/music video before I uploaded it to YouTube? Obviously it must be someone who has access to my phone and/or my laptop! It's not my family because they don't have access to them.

Who could it be then? Obviously the person must have gained unauthorised access to my phone and/or laptop (for example, via spyware) and have acted under the instructions of a tyrant!

Guilty Conscience?!

Why would they do that? A possibility could be that I did my very FIRST podcast yesterday, briefly sharing about how the tyrant has been CONSTANTLY interfering in my job search (through his men, obviously), leading to a PROLONGED PERIOD of unemployment for me.

Taking Action Against Copyright Infringement

The experience of having my copyrighted content violated has been both frustrating and enlightening. It highlights the importance of vigilance in protecting our creative works from unauthorised access and misuse. As creators, we must be proactive in understanding our rights and the legal avenues available to us.

The tyrant and his accomplices may think they can act without consequences, but it is essential to hold them accountable. By standing up for our rights, we can ensure that our creative endeavours are respected and that justice prevails for all artists facing similar challenges.

Cheers,
