This is Our Song

Are you thinking this is a love song? But no, it isn't. I created this piece of music because of a dream. And that dream had nothing to do with love relationships. Please check it out here.:) I won't say it's a piece of sad music because it isn't. It's a slow piece though. But if you prefer an upbeat piece, you might want to check out this music video with the same title.

Love Songs, Anyone?

I believe all of us go through a stage in our lives where we like love songs. For me, it's no different. But I'm no longer in that stage of life. To me, love no longer matters. I've too much on my plate right now and I've too many things that I want to do in life. And so love is no longer something I want. I'd rather live a fulfilled life pursuing what matters to me. I might decide to write love songs again though. But even if I do, it'll only be for commercial reasons. 

Does anyone like Unchained Melody? Being someone who hardly listens to English pop songs, this is one of the very few songs that I've ever heard and liked. Take My Breath Away is another English pop song that I like.:) 

Actually I prefer Mandarin songs, but not because I'm a Chinese. Rather, it's partly because of the environment I grew up in.

What Kind of Music/Songs Do You Like?

For me, I prefer songs/music with an upbeat tempo. But I like certain sad songs/music too, because they're able to help me heal from my emotional pain. Moreover, in order for me to create music that heals, I've to be healed first, right? And maybe the healing music that flows from the deepest part of my being will become your favourite music? Maybe, I mean. And maybe any healing song that I create will become your song too? So, this is our song? Just maybe, I mean.

I'm drawn to songs with music that appeals to me. I know this is something that's subjective. What appeals to me might not appeal to you and vice-versa. Our Song by Willie Nelson has the kind of music that somewhat appeals to me. (Incidentally, I just got to know about this song while doing searches for songs with the same title or part of the title of my latest music video.:) Check it out and see if it has the same appeal to you?

Do You Eat Dog Meat?

  Around early 2022, I watched a video of a big dog being forced by a man to go up to a truck. The man was apparently a dog meat trader in a certain part of China. He was using a sharp tool to grip the dog’s neck, which obviously caused it pain and made it fearful as could be seen from its expression. There were other dogs on the truck. It was a sad sight to behold. There were quite a lot of onlookers around. I was shocked that none of them intervened. I knew it could get them into trouble with the dog meat trader if they were to intervene. But if some of them had stepped forward to help the poor dog, it was very likely to be saved. Surely they could buy it or at least call an animal shelter? How could they be so indifferent to the way the dog meat trader handle it? Dogs aren’t poultry.
