New Beginnings

Every new beginning begins with the ending of something. Some endings aren't pleasant but are necessary for new beginnings. And some new beginnings aren't what you're expecting but will lead you to something beyond what you could imagine.

The Marking of a New Beginning

A new season can mark a new beginning. A new day can mark a new beginning. A new year can mark a new beginning. Another birthday can mark a new beginning. A change can mark a new beginning. 

Do you want to mark a new beginning with things from your past? Or would you rather let the past remain in the past? I know, sometimes it's easier said than done. But then again, would you rather expend your 'life energy' on things that can't be changed? No, right? 

So, when the past calls, let it go to the voice mail, because it has nothing new to say.


A New Beginning ~ A New Chapter

A new beginning marks the start of a new chapter in your life. And since it's a new chapter, you mustn't allow the pain from the previous chapter to stain the new chapter. Agree?

Today is a day of new beginnings for me. I'm thankful because I'm now in a new season in my life. It's a new chapter filled with new possibilities. I'm ready. Are you ready...for yours?

How We See Our New Beginnings Matters

How we see our new beginnings matters, especially if they're 'forced upon' us. Our mindsets could determine how we view our new beginnings and where those new beginnings will lead us.

Do you despise small new beginnings? Or do you gladly accept these small beginnings? Do you believe that your small beginning could lead to something great if you'd just accept that with a heart of gratitude?

What Would You Choose?

Sometimes, our new beginnings are planned for. At other times, they are 'forced upon' you. If given a choice, which would you choose?

Do You Eat Dog Meat?

  Around early 2022, I watched a video of a big dog being forced by a man to go up to a truck. The man was apparently a dog meat trader in a certain part of China. He was using a sharp tool to grip the dog’s neck, which obviously caused it pain and made it fearful as could be seen from its expression. There were other dogs on the truck. It was a sad sight to behold. There were quite a lot of onlookers around. I was shocked that none of them intervened. I knew it could get them into trouble with the dog meat trader if they were to intervene. But if some of them had stepped forward to help the poor dog, it was very likely to be saved. Surely they could buy it or at least call an animal shelter? How could they be so indifferent to the way the dog meat trader handle it? Dogs aren’t poultry. They are supposed to be pets doted by humans, not killed and eaten as food, isn’t it? Moreover, dogs are said to be very loyal. So how could anyone have the heart to kill and consume them? Okay, I k
